School "Re-Stock" Fair Tuesday at Ujima Neighborhood Place

Neighborhood Place Ujima Presents Autumn Family Fair


With school back in session for several weeks now, Neighborhood Place Ujima is hosting an event on September 27th to help families restock school supplies, and to highlight the broad range of resources in our community.

The Autumn Back to School "Re-Stock" Fair will bring together an array of free family activities including healthy cooking demonstrations, school supplies giveaways, pumpkin decorating, educational resources and financial counseling. A family budget workshop will be provided at 6 p.m. to help individuals of all ages brush up on basic budgeting, savings and money-management skills.

Participating agencies include Seven Counties Services, Louisville Urban League, Louisville Metro Community Services and Revitalization, the Legal Aid Society, Jefferson County Public Schools, Healthy Start, Area Health Education Centers, Kool Smiles, Healthy Start, Church without Doors, the Family Heritage Insurance, the Neighborhood Place Ujima Community Council and the Canaan Community Development Corporation providing Job Recruitment Information.
