Two Metro Government agencies dealing with transportation issues will be the focus of March’s District 12 Dialogue on Tuesday, March 16th. Officials with TARC and Metro Public Works will be on hand to answer questions and meet with the public beginning at 7:00pm.
“We usually only have one invited guest but with the recent announcement of cuts in service, I thought it was important to have TARC on hand,” says Councilman Rick Blackwell (D-12). “TARC can explain their rationale for cuts and hear the concerns of our constituents.”
Nina Walfoort, TARC’s Marketing Director, is one invited guest for the evening. The other is Ted Pullen, Director of the Metro Public works Department.
“Mr. Pullen will be able to provide updates on public works issues such as street cleanings, advertising benches and traffic light synchronization on Dixie Highway.” says Blackwell. “Considering the harsh winter we have had, there may be some who will want to point out pothole problems and roads that need some attention as well.”
Representatives of Louisville Metro Police, Neighborhoods, MSD and Codes and Regulations will also be on hand to answer questions. In addition, a representative of Congressman John Yarmuth’s office will be in attendance.
Greenwood Elementary School is located at 5801 Greenwood Rd.
