Many communities in Metro Louisville are gearing up to help America celebrate its birthday on Sunday. And once again, Crescent Hill is getting ready for its traditional Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration starting Saturday July 3rd and carrying over to Sunday, July 4th.
“If you’ve never been to Crescent Hill to enjoy this holiday celebration then come out and have some fun with neighborhood folks that honor the history of our country through family events and activities,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9).
Enjoy the parade of Antique cars, two days of juried art sales, a food court, Dog Show, historical displays, a baking contest, free trolley rides and, of course, fireworks on Sunday night at 10:00 pm.
“All of this with the backdrop of the Historic Peterson-Dumesnil House as the center piece of this great celebration,” says Ward-Pugh. “This weekend you will see a vibrant community take the time to show others its heritage and spirit.”
Another highlight of the celebration is the Crescent Hill Art and Music Festival. There will be more than 90 juried artists on hand. Musical entertainment will be provided on both days from 10:00am until 10:00pm
The Councilwoman joins the Crescent Hill Community Council as one of the Patriotic Sponsors of the event along with First Capitol Bank of Kentucky and Wakefield Reutlinger & Co. Realtors.
