For the next two Saturdays, volunteers will focus some attention on three key areas of District 3 as part of the Spring Brightside Community Wide Cleanup. The effort will help Maupin Elementary and two other neighborhoods in the district.
“I want to encourage everyone to come out and join some great volunteers who have set some pretty good goals to keep our community clean,” says Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D-3).
District 3’s cleanup will stretch out over the next two Saturdays.
On March 26th, Volunteers will gather at Maupin Elementary beginning at 8:00am at the Corner of Catalpa and Dumesnil. Teams will clean up around the school and the surrounding neighborhood.
Then on Saturday, April 2nd, two groups will carry on cleanup efforts. The Greater Friendship Baptist Church is asking volunteers to come to Osage Avenue beginning at 9:00am. The Liberty Tabernacle Freedom Fighters will start a cleanup from Saint Louis Avenue at 18th street to Wilson Avenue beginning at 9:00am.
“I want to thank all of those who volunteers and show pride in their neighborhoods by helping Brightside this spring,” says Woolridge
