“I have been asked to be a judge for the Fields Reflection Art Program,” says Ward-Pugh. “I am looking forward to not only seeing some very good art but it is a chance to see just how creative children are in our community,”
The Field program will officially announce and celebrate winning art on November 10th. Students from Kindergarten through fifth grade are participating. The program also encourages other categories such as literature and photography.
“Arts in our schools are just as important as any other aspect of learning and we should encourage it as much as possible” says Ward-Pugh. “These school artists today may one day become future graphics designers, photographers and those whose expressions may become the next Georgia O’Keefe, Bobbie Ann Mason or Ansel Adams.
