Animal Services Sees Intake Numbers Skyrocket

Animal House/Manslick are offering adoption discounts



LOUISVILLE (May 25, 2012) Louisville Metro Animal Services is calling for the community’s help to give hundreds of dogs and cats a second chance. So far this month, over 800 animals have entered the shelter. “The kitten and puppy season along with the warmer weather has resulted in skyrocketing numbers,” said Director of Metro Animal Services Justin Scally. “We really need people to step up and give them a loving home.”

There are a number of ways the community can help:

Adoption Special (today - May 31, 2012):

$9 for cats six months and older

$85 for dogs six months and older

*both with an approved application

Foster:

Provide an animal a temporary home

Encourage others to foster, adopt or volunteer

Animal lovers are encouraged to visit Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Road, or Manslick, 3705 Manslick where numerous furry friends await their chance to be a member of a family!

Animal House Adoption Center: Tuesday – Sunday 12-6 p.m. Wednesday until 7 p.m. Closed Mondays and Holidays.

Manslick: Monday – Friday 12-6 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Closed Sundays and Holidays
