Rainy weather forced a cancellation in September but the final “Music in the Metro” is set for Sunday, October 21st that’s when Councilman Bob Henderson (D) 14 will join Mayor Jerry Abramson for a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon at a perfect setting for family and friends.
“I am very happy that we have decided to move forward with this great event,” says Henderson. “I don’t think it’s a bad way to spend a fall afternoon.
“Music in the Metro” will get underway at Riverside, Farnsley-Moremen Landing at 7410 Moorman Road on Sunday, October 21st from 4:00pm to 7:30pm.
The featured artists for the event: Artie Dean Harris and Charles Blakemore. Both are Country and Western performers. The concert will convene from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
“This is a nice way to take a break from football or school and come out by the banks of the Ohio and listen to some good music. This is not a bad way to get ready for the changing of the seasons, as we welcome the foliage of fall,” says Henderson. “We also have a great place at Riverside and we love to let people know how special this area is.”
