“I look forward to the Vietnam Vet’s Concert in the Park every year,” says Councilman Bob Henderson (D) 14. “They are a dedicated group of people who love their community and children.”

The 29th Annual Vietnam Vet’s Concert in the Park will kick off on Sunday, June 24th, 2007. The concert will run from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

“Most people do not realize this concert is a major fundraiser for the Christmas programs the Vets run for the less fortunate children in Southwest Jefferson County, “ says Henderson. “When you help the Vets with the concert, you’re helping kids.”

The Concert will get underway at Sun Valley Park, 6505 Bethany Lane and feature a car and motorcycle show. Free hot dogs and soda will be available.

“This is not only a good cause but if you have never had the chance, come on out and see what all we have at the Sun Valley Park,” says Henderson. “It is a nice place for everyone, especially kids and families.”
