Majority Caucus members help PRIDE INC with Easter egg hunt

Several members of the Majority Caucus will help the Easter Bunny bring in holiday cheer on Saturday, April 7th when P.R.I.D.E. INC holds it 36th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

“This will be something for the whole family,” says Judith Green (D) 1. “P.R.I.D.E. should be commended for its concern for our children. I am glad to help the organizers of this great event.”

Green along with Council members Barbara Shanklin (D) 2, Mary C. Woolridge (D) 3, David Tandy (D) 4, Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D) 5, George Unseld (D) 6 and Dan Johnson (D) 21 contributed to the event with Neighborhood Development Funds.

The Easter Egg Hunt will get underway at the Central high School Track Field at 13th Street. It will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Children ages 1 to 12 are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

“We always have a good turn out for these events,” says Shanklin. “This is a day for children and we hope they and their families will have a fun time.”

P.R.I.D.E will hand out Easter baskets, candy eggs and goody bags for children. There will also be drawings for toys, boom boxes, bicycles, skate boards and gift certificates.
