Members of the Ethics Work Group of the Metro Council’s Government Accountability Committee will here from a member of the Louisville Metro Ethics Commission on Monday, November 16th.

“As we review the proposed ethics ordinances, we’ve asked a member of the Commission to come and give us an update on the operations and special concerns of the members of that important group,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9), who chairs the Work Group.

Commissioner Larry Grant will talk an offer an opinion about the ordinances and answer questions.

The Work Group is in the process of reviewing ordinances proposed by Council Members Marianne Butler and Jon Ackerson as well as one proposed by Councilman Ken Fleming. The goal is to review the two ordinances and see if a combination of the two can be approved by a majority of the Metro Council.

After this coming Monday, the Work Group will resume a 4:00pm start time for its weekly Monday meetings.
