Councilwoman Attica Scott is moving forward with her effort to cleanup vacant and abandoned properties by announcing the “Cut It Out” Campaign during the month of June.
“I am pleased to welcome the help of several local lawn care companies who will join us in making progress on taking care of high grass and weeds on various properties around the district,” says Scott.
Every Tuesday during the month of June, the lawn care companies will donate lawn mowers and manpower to District 1 to cut and clean vacant abandoned property lots. The district has 154 properties currently listed on the Code and Regulations referral list that need cutting.
“These companies are helping us work with the people of our neighborhoods for a common purpose, to bring unity and pride back to our streets,” says Scott. “I, and the people who live in District 1, thank them for joining us as partners.”
Areas in the West and Southwest of the district have been scheduled for cutting. The first area is located at 32nd & Virginia Avenue on Tuesday June 5 beginning at 8:30am.
The following companies are participating in the program:
KLB Property Management
Lawns Neatlee Done
Tom Taylor Lawncare
Franklin Landscape & Lawn
Dulen Lawncare Service
Total Care Lawn Service
