Part 2 Permitting Regulations
The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) is issuing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPR) to provide an overview of a set of proposed changes to the District’s Part 2 Permitting program and related regulations. These will include proposed amendments to Regulations 1.02, 2.02, 2.03, 2.08, 2.16, 2.17, and a new Regulation 2.18.
The District will host stakeholder meetings on July 25, 2012, and August 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. to discuss changes to Regulation 2.08 Fees. [UPDATE: The August 1 meeting was cancelled.] Drafts of the proposed regulations will also be sent for informal and formal review to all persons who have requested to be informed of proposed changes to any District regulations; EPA Region 4; and the Kentucky Division for Air Quality. During the formal comment period, pursuant to Regulation 1.08, Administrative Procedures, the public will have a 30-day period in which to make written comments and an opportunity to speak at a public hearing prior to adoption of the regulations. If adopted by the Board, Regulations 1.02, 2.02, 2.03, 2.17, and 2.18 will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for inclusion in the State Implementation Plan.
