Metro Councilman Bob Henderson (D) 14 will help officially dedicate the newest recreational area of Otter Creek Park on Saturday, May 24th.

“This is another example of how Metro Government is improving the lives of the people of Southwest Jefferson County and the surrounding area,” says Henderson. “This is something that will be a joy to the families that use this park.”

Otter Creek Park has completed a new water play area for children and adults. The area is located at the Picnic Pavilion.

Henderson will join Metro Parks Director Mike Heitz for the dedication at 1:00pm.

There will be a free ice cream social sponsored by Meijer.

“This is the time to get out and enjoy a wonderful place like Otter Creek which is yet another of our fine parks operated by the city,” says Henderson.

Otter Creek Park is located on 850 Otter Creek Park Road. It is 25 miles south of Louisville, along Dixie Highway (US 31) the turn right at State Road 1638 at Muldraugh.
