Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D) 9 will attend a public forum on Wednesday, November 28th when a feasibility study will be presented on the 8664 alternative.
“I think it is important to not only hear about this alternative but I would encourage the public to come out and learn more about this alternative,” says Ward-Pugh.
The public forum will be held at the Bomhard Theater in the Kentucky Center for the Arts from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Walter Kulash, a retired highway engineer with 30 years experience in the field will present the study.
Recently, the Metro Council’s Ad Hoc committee on 8664 began its review of the alternative plan that calls for building an east end bridge and realigning of Spaghetti Junction that would remove a section of I-64 between Spaghetti Junction and 22nd Street. It is recommended that I-64 would be replaced by a downtown parkway.
“As our committee continues its review, I plan on being at the meeting to not only hear more information about the alternative but to engage the public in a real community conversation,” says Ward-Pugh.
