The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, in conjunction with the Kentucky Department of Public Health and Okolona Pest Control, will offer a workshop on preventing and treating bedbugs. The workshop is geared toward those serving the general public in healthcare, housing, childcare, social services and education sectors.
The event will be held Tuesday February 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium located at 970 S. Fourth St.
The workshop will include strategies to prevent bedbugs, best practices to identify, control and treat bedbugs and how to deal with bedbugs during home healthcare visits. It will also include prevention and treatment strategies for schools, child care facilities, group homes, the hospitality industry and rental housing.
