The economic development efforts of Metro Louisville will be the topic of the April District 12 Dialogue hosted by Councilman Rick Blackwell. The dialogue will be held on Tuesday April 15th at the Shively Christian Church, 1822 Kendall Lane, and will begin at 7:00pm.

“This is a chance for every one to get an update on the various on going projects in the area,” says Blackwell. “With new businesses opening along Dixie Highway and recent announcements regarding the Old Dillard’s location, I am sure there may be some questions about how those projects are proceeding.”

John Fischer, Assistant Director of the Economic Development Department for the city, will be on hand to talk about the project as well as answer questions on future goals for the region.

“This will be a chance to ask what is going on in our district and the surrounding areas,” says Blackwell.

Representatives from Louisville Metro Police, MSD, Neighborhoods and IPL, as well as Congressman Yarmuth’s office, will be on hand to answer questions and listen to concerns.

For more information about the April District 12 Dialogue, contact Councilman Blackwell’s office at 574-1112.
