In an effort to help residents affected by the flooding of last Tuesday, Councilman George Unseld announces curbside pickup for residents in District 6.
“We realize many people are trying to get their homes back to normal and there are some folks who are dealing with a great deal of debris,” says Unseld. “That’s why we are announcing a onetime pickup of flooded materials for the District.”
Unseld has worked out a collection plan with Eco Tech Environmental and Dismas Charities. The pickup will begin on Friday morning for the flooded areas of the district. Residents need to make sure that all debris to be pickup is out on the curb before Friday.
“I also want to encourage those who want to help and volunteer to get in contact with city officials,” says Unseld. “If you can make it do the drop off sites that’s fine, but we know there are some folks who still need help.”
The curbside pickup will be paid for out of the Councilman’s Neighborhood Development Funds.
