Louisville, KY –  Metro Councilman Jon Ackerson (District 18) congratulates the City of Hurstbourne Acres Police Department for its recent accreditation by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police.  The Hurstbourne Acres Police Department joins the accredited ranks of other police departments including: Jeffersontown Police Department, Shively Police Department, St. Matthews Police Department, Louisville Metro Police Department as well as over 88 other police departments through the state of Kentucky.

The KACP certification provides law enforcement agencies throughout the Commonwealth the ability to demonstrate that all commonly accepted professional standards for efficient and effective Police operations have been met.

"We are delighted to have met the high standards as laid out by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police.  This accreditation reflects the hard work of Chief Redman and Sergeant Skaggs and their continued commitment to excellent police protection for the residents of Hurstbourne Acres," said Mayor Sean Fore.

“The residents of Hurstborne Acres are lucky to have such a dedicated and hard working police force that is willing to
go the extra mile to receive such a distinguished accreditation.” said Councilman Ackerson.
