National HIV testing day 2012 is June 27. It is an annual campaign coordinated by the National Association of People with AIDS to encourage people to “take the test and take control.”

“I encourage people to get tested and to know their HIV status,” said Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, director. “There are now medications that can lead to longer and healthier lives. Knowing your status also empowers you to take action to prevent spreading the disease to others.”
