Jefferson County Sheriff John Aubrey will be on hand for the next District 12 Dialogue in November to talk with residents about the importance of the office and explain its operation in Metro Government.
“Sheriff Aubrey and his office provide a very valuable service to this community by working with the local court system, serving warrants and tax collection,” says Councilman Rick Blackwell (D-12). “His office works hand in hand with Louisville Metro Police to help make our community safe.”
The meeting is set for Tuesday, November 16th at Hillview Baptist Church, 5319 Dixie Highway beginning at 7:00pm.
“One of the key goals of the Dialogues is to make government officials and agencies available to residents for a better understanding of how they operate,” says Blackwell. “The Sheriff is one of many officials who are always willing to meet the public and I hope everyone will come out.”
Joining Aubrey at the meeting will be representatives from Louisville Metro Police, the Division of Licensing and Permits and MSD to answer questions about programs. A representative of Congressman John Yarmuth's office will also be in attendance.
“This is our last District 12 Dialogue for 2010,” says Blackwell. “We will begin again in January of 2011. If residents have a suggestion for a special guest they can call my office and we will try to schedule that person or organization.”
