Mayor Orders Flags Lowered For Hurricane Victims
Tuesday September 6, 2005
Mayor Jerry Abramson today ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on all Louisville Metro Government buildings and properties to honor victims of Hurricane Katrina.
“The loss of life from Hurricane Katrina is staggering,” Abramson said. “We must honor the thousands of people who perished and mourn with the families left to cope with the aftermath of this unprecedented catastrophe.”
The flags will remain at half-staff through sunset, Tuesday, September 20.
