Louisville – Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15) and officers of the Louisville Metro Police Fourth Division will be back out on the streets this Monday, March 11th in the Hazelwood neighborhood as the “90 days and 90 nights” program continues its efforts in crime prevention.
“We are walking with Hazelwood residents to keep our focus on preventing violent crime and letting everyone know officers are here to protect,” says Butler. “The Hazelwood Neighborhood has a good blockwatch program and we want to get more people involved.”
Councilwoman Butler and residents will leave the Churchman Fellowship Church, 4048 LaSalle Avenue at 5:30pm to walk the neighborhood with residents.
“It is important that we keep the focus on communication with police and the people who live in this neighborhood,” says Butler.
The “90 Days and 90 Nights” program began in 2012. Officers Sturgeon and Burgraff are encouraging any area of the Division to schedule a walk between now and May 1st.
