Abramson Named Kentucky’s Best In Magazine Survey
Thursday June 3, 2004
For the fourth time, Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson has been voted Kentucky’s best “Civic Leader or Politician,” according to a reader poll conducted by a statewide magazine.
In its June edition, Kentucky Monthly announced the recognition of Abramson. The magazine asks readers to select favorites in 37 categories, ranging from restaurants to authors to TV personalities.
“This honor is a continued testament to the excitement and momentum occurring in our hometown - from downtown’s cultural and entertainment offerings to diverse, vibrant neighborhoods and a growing economy,” Abramson said.
The category of “Best Town To Live in” was retired this year and not voted on by readers because Louisville had won the category for five years in a row, Kentucky Monthly editors said. Kentucky Monthly circulates in all 120 Kentucky counties. This year marks the fifth year the magazine has conducted the reader survey.
