As the Metro Council’s District 9 moves forward with plans to become a greener and more sustainable area, Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh is inviting the public to see the latest progress and help the Green Triangle group with its next task.
“It is time for us to put together a sustainability vision statement for the district,” says Ward-Pugh. “I want the public to have a chance to see what the team of volunteers has accomplished so far and give us their feedback and help shape the vision statement.”
The meeting will take place at the Clifton Center, 2117 Payne Street at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 1st.
Recently, the Green Triangle Design Team created an online survey, which asked a variety of questions about “going green” and sustainability efforts in the district.
“We’ve got great momentum going for this effort,” says Ward-Pugh. “The vision will set the tone for our current and future commitment to creating a more sustainable and healthier community by tapping residents, businesses and government to make this happen.”
