After weeks of debate and meetings, on Tuesday voters in Precinct M107 will cast a very important vote in a special wet/dry election.
“It is important that register voters in this precinct turn out when the polls open on Tuesday,” says Councilwoman Judith Green (D-1). “This is a process that requires participation by voters of this precinct.”
M107 is a unique precinct in Louisville Metro. Seventy five per cent of the precinct is wet. The remainder is dry as a result of census lines that have been drawn over the years. The election will make the determination of the precinct staying wet or going dry. If the latter happens businesses that sell alcohol will no longer be able to do so.
“This has been an emotional situation for some and now is the time for the voters to decide,” says Green. “Once a decision has been made then we will know what direction to take in the future. Please vote.”
The polls for M107 will be open beginning at 6:00am. They will close at 6:00pm.Sponsor:
