Metro Parks Golf offering Family Golf Package over Memorial Day Weekend
Tuesday May 19, 2009
Metro Parks is offering an affordable family golfing package at its nine golf courses during the Memorial Day weekend.
For only $20, a family of up to four members can play 9 holes at any Metro Parks course. The $20 includes greens and carts fees, and families can take advantage of the deal after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23; Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25.
“This will be a great and affordable way for families to spend time together over the Memorial Day Weekend,” said Mike Heitz, director of Metro Parks. “Parents can introduce their children to the game of golf without being hit too hard in their pocketbooks.”
Metro Parks golf courses are open from daylight to dark seven days a week, and each course has a fully stocked pro shop. Private lessons are available from a PGA Professional at each clubhouse. Metro Parks operates 9-hole golf courses in Cherokee Park and Crescent Hill Park, along with Waverly Park’s Bobby Nichols Golf Course. There are 18-hole courses in Iroquois Park, Long Run Park, Seneca Park, Shawnee Park, Sun Valley Park and Charlie Vettiner Park.
