Abramson Signs Adult Entertainment Ordinance
Monday March 1, 2004
Mayor Jerry Abramson has signed the adult entertainment ordinance approved last week by the Metro Council.
“The Metro Council put forth a substantive and comprehensive approach to combating a concern shared by many neighbors and families throughout Louisville,” Abramson said.
The ordinance, which goes into effect immediately, requires all adult entertainment businesses to close at 1 a.m. Additional provisions of the ordinance place more stringent requirements on strip clubs and adult businesses that have peep shows. Officials with
Inspections, Permits and Licenses are working on a timetable for enforcement of the ordinance.
