In the coming months, residents of District 15 will have a chance to talk with the firm that will redesign Wyandotte Park into a park of the 21st Century.
The first in a series of meetings with Environmental Collaborative Design will be held on October 10th at the Salvation Army on Beecher Street starting at 6:00pm.
“I encourage everyone who wants to participate in the rebirth of Wyandotte Park to come out and meet the people who will design the Park’s Master Plan and let them know what you believe is important for its future,” says Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D) 15.
Wyandotte Park is in District 15 located at Taylor Blvd and the Watterson Expressway. It was created in 1937.
“Many residents who grew up around the park and those who live near it today have already expressed their interested in what Wyandotte needs to continue as an important asset for our community,” says Butler. “I want to keep the dialogue open between residents and the firm, so everyone will know how this process is moving along.”
