LIHEAP Vendor Solicitation for 2013-14 Season

All vendors wishing to participate in the LIHEAP 2013-2014 program are encouraged to stop by the LIHEAP office, 810 Barret Ave., room 125 to fill out necessary paperwork. The office will be open Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed for lunch 12 p.m.- 1 p.m.

LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, is a federally-funded program that provides financial assistance to help eligible low-income households meet their home heating needs. LIHEAP vendors are defined as any business that supplies energy, such as rental facilities where utilities are included in the rent, or provides home heating fuel to individuals applying for the LIHEAP program. Examples of home heating fuel include oil, kerosene, propane, bottled gas, wood, electric or natural gas.

Vendors will be provided information about changes in the LIHEAP program this year and given time to complete the necessary information at their office visit. Questions can also be addressed at this time.

The Subsidy Phase of LIHEAP begins Mon., Nov. 4 and early registrations begin on Oct. 1 for those residents who are on a fixed income, and who are disabled or elderly. Please contact Elizabeth Daniels at (502) 574-6122, or visit for more information.
