Louisville – In an effort to keep District 1 informed on how Louisville Metro Police are working to fight crime and keep the public safe, Councilwoman Attica Scott (D-1) will host a Community Forum on Tuesday along with LMPD Chief Steve Conrad.
“Chief Conrad is determined to get his officers and our communities working together to stop the violence on our streets,” says Scott. “This is your chance to meet the Chief and hear of his public safety initiatives for all of us.”
The Councilwoman continues to stress the need for everyone to get involved if Metro Louisville is going to deal with the problem of increased violence. The Forum will be an opportunity to ask questions and to share ideas on how to reduce violence.
It will take place on Tuesday, February 19th at the Parkland Boys and Girls Club, 3200 Greenwood Avenue starting at 6:00pm.
Scott is hopeful that Tuesday’s meeting might spark some interest in helping young people in the area.
“Our location for the evening is the Parkland Boys and Girls,” says Scott. “This club is one of the best ways we can help young people with alternatives to crime and being on the streets. I hope some people will ask a few questions as to how they can help out with Parkland.”
