A fun night of family entertainment will kick off on Saturday, May 10th when “Movies under the Stars” returns to the Iroquois Amphitheater for the summer.

“So many people enjoyed the free movies last year at Iroquois Park, that I and several colleagues on the Metro Council are once again happy to present a night out for families and those who enjoy the feel of an old fashion drive in,” says Council woman Marianne Butler (D) 15.

Butler, along with Council members Dan Johnson (D) 21, Vicki Aubrey Welch (D) 13, Rick Blackwell (D) 12 and Mary C. Woolridge (D) 3 have appropriated the funds for five films to be shown at no cost the community.

The Boy Wizard Harry Potter kicks off this year’s movie season on May 10th at 8:00pm. Movies starring George Clooney, Toby Maguire and Eddie Murphy will also be apart of the free showing. The Amphitheater is located at 1080 Amphitheater Road, off New Cut Road.
