After reviewing the heavily flooded areas of District 3, Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge announces curbside pickup will be available to those who were affected.
“This is a serious health situation that requires special action,” says Woolridge. “I want those people who were affected by the flooding to know we are here to help them.”
Woolridge is partnering with Eco Tech Environmental for the entire pickup operation which will cover Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th.
Flooded debris must be placed on either the curbside or an alley of the residence in order to be picked up. The hours of operation are from 8:00am to 5:00pm both days.
“Everyone should understand, they need to get their debris out before 8:00am on Saturday before the pickups begin,” says Woolridge. “This is a onetime sweep of homes in the heavily flooded areas for just these two days. We will not be coming back to catch houses that might have been missed.”
Woolridge is providing the curbside pickup by using her Neighborhood Development Funds.
