City Performance Director Recognized by "Forty Under 40"

Monday September 24, 2012

Reno-Weber joins other young city leaders honored in recent years

Theresa Reno-Weber, the director of Metro Government’s new Office for Performance Improvement is among the young city leaders included on the annual list of “Forty Under 40” by Business First of Louisville.

Mayor Greg Fischer named Reno-Weber as the city’s first director of performance improvement in January. The position is designed to help bring the best of private sector accountability, transparency and efficiency to city government -- and ultimately create a culture of continuous improvement that will save taxpayer dollars.

In recent months, Reno-Weber has helped develop and implement the new LouieStat process for tracking and improving city government performance.

Also named to the 2012 “Forty Under 40” list was James Craig who Fischer recently appointed to be the new chairman of the Metropolitan Sewer District board.

Previous members of the Fischer administration tabbed as rising young leaders by the “Forty Under 40” program include Mary Ellen Wiederwohl, the chief of strategic initiatives for the city, Sadiqa Reynolds, the chief of community building, Chris Poynter, Fischer’s communication’s director and Nicole Yates who serves as the mayor’s scheduling director.

This year’s recipients were honored Sept. 21 at a luncheon at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
