Contact: Tony Hyatt 574-4137/526-3622

Councilman Brent T. Ackerson is inviting residents of District 26 to come out to his first Town Hall Meeting to discuss issues and concerns on Friday, April 23rd.

“This is our first of what will become regular meetings with the people of the district,” says Ackerson. “This is their opportunity to talk about programs or any problem they may have involving Metro Government and their neighborhoods.”

The meeting will take place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at St. Pius X Church on Goldsmith Lane.

Representatives from LMPD, Louisville Fire and Rescue, MSD, Public Works, Inspections Permits and Licensing and LG&E are expected to attend and will be available to answer questions or discuss any programs or services offered by Metro Government.

“Since taking office in January of 2009, my goal has been to engage the district in what priorities should be in the coming years,” says Ackerson. “A town hall is the chance to let me and others know if that goal is working or if there are any new areas of concern we should be exploring.”

For more information about the District 26 Town Hall Meeting, contact Councilman Ackerson’s Office at 574-1126.
