Louisville, KY - Louisville Metro Councilman Robin Engel will participate in the Fern Creek Park Celebration Day this Saturday, June 18. The event, which will include live music, food, and giveaways including free Louisville Bats tickets, will take place at Fern Creek Park, located at 8715 Ferndale Road. The Celebration will begin at noon and will run until 3:00 p.m. Mayor Jerry Abramson and State Senator Dan Seum will also be on hand. The three elected officials will take part in a ceremonial “first pitch” at the new baseball field located in Fern Creek Park at 1:00 p.m. Fern Creek Park recently underwent an approximate $250,000 improvement, that included parking lot expansions and renovations of several ball fields. The completed work accomplished part of a master plan that was endorsed by park users during a planning process led by Councilman Engel and Metro Parks. For more information on the Fern Creek Park Celebration, please contact Monica Hodge in Councilman Engel’s office at 574-1122.
