Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D) 9 is encouraging the public to come out to a series of meetings designed to explain the latest in improving Brownsboro Road for pedestrians.
“This project has been in the planning stage for sometime and now its time to hear what people have to say about making Brownsboro Road a safer place for cars, bicycles and people,” says Ward-Pugh.
The three public meetings will cover a two week period at the end of August through September.
Here are the meetings dates and times:
· Wednesday, August 29th, 6:30 pm at Field Elementary School, 120 Sacred Heart Lane
· Wednesday, September 12th, 6:30pm at the Clifton Center, 2117 Payne Street
· Saturday, September 15th, 9:00am at the Mellwood Arts Center, 1860 Mellwood Avenue.
Representatives of the Louisville Metro Police’s Fifth Division have confirmed their attendance to answer any questions the community might have about safety issues for the area.
“I would encourage everyone who feels strongly about this project to come out and learn the timetable for moving forward and if you have a concern, let us know,” says Ward-Pugh.
