Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D-3) will host a special community meeting to discuss a traffic pattern issue concerning the possible removal of the barricades on Cypress Street. Removal of the barricades would open traffic on Plantation Drive.
“I have been asked to look into this by several residents in the District and I want to hear the pro and cons of such an action from the public,” says Woolridge. “Anytime you are looking at changing a traffic pattern in a neighborhood, there may be those with concerns.”
The public meeting will take place at the Southern Star Baptist Church, 2304 Algonquin Parkway lower level. It will get underway at 6:30pm.
“I have invited Louisville Metro Police and the Department of Public Works to attend the meeting and answer questions,” says Woolridge.
