The last in a series of five public meetings to interact on the Master Plan for Wyandotte Park will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, 1010 Beecher Street at 6:00pm.
"After months of discussion and many hours of work, residents will get to see a completed design plan for the park;” says Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D) 15. "This multifunctional park will once again be a gathering place for the community with more picnic tables, a larger walking path, new play equipment, splash park, more parking spaces and a great lawn."
Consultants from Environmental Design Collaborative will present the completed park design that is the result of community input at previous meetings.
“Residents of the area have played an important role in letting Metro Parks, and the design team, know what they would like to see in Wyandotte Park;” says Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D) 15.
The Master Plan funding was made possible by Councilwoman Butler and Mayor Jerry Abramson. The redevelopment of Wyandotte Park is a part of the City of Parks initiative.
