Councilwoman Ward-Pugh to speak at social work conference

Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh will be a guest speaker Friday at the biannual meeting of the Council of Nephrology Social Workers, Kentucky chapter.
Ward-Pugh, who holds a master's degree in social work from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, will address the group at 9 a.m., speaking on how social workers can work with government to serve their clients and patients, and what services are available.
The meeting will be held in the Brook Room of the Inn at Jewish Hospital, 100 East Jefferson St.
