From Germantown to Audubon Park; to the Highlands to Bashford Manor; President Jim King (D-10) is putting out the call for volunteers in neighborhoods to pitch in for Brightside’s community wide cleanup on Saturday, October 25th.
“One of my main goals is to enhance and connect our neighborhoods,” says King. “By organizing volunteers throughout District 10, I hope that every neighborhood will come out to roll up their sleeves, meet one another and help make a difference in their neighborhoods this Saturday.”
Volunteers across the district will take part in “Make A Difference Day” this Saturday, October 25th. Most Brightside cleanups will take place between 8:00am and 12:00pm.
After the cleanup, President King is issuing an invitation to a thank you “Celebration Picnic” at Joe Creason Park on Trevilian Way across from the Louisville Zoo from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Free lunch, music, special prizes and ecological information will be provided.
Gloves, bags and t-shirts will be provided for volunteers by Brightside. Registration is recommended, however, it is not required to participate.
