Councilman David Tandy (D) 4 will address the Presbyterian Community Center's (PCC) Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Awards Celebration.

The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19th at the Executive West Hotel, 830 Phillips Lane.

The event honors community leaders and advocates of all ages for their continued support of PCC's mission to serve families and youth in the areas of housing and neighborhood revitalization, child and youth development, health and wellness, and family services.

"Presbyterian Community Center means so much to the people of Louisville and particularly the people who call the neighborhoods of Smoketown and Shelby Park home” said Councilman Tandy "The men and women who work at PCC are truly living out the organization’s mission and making a real difference in the lives of the families they touch. PCC is honestly helping us transform a community one household at a time."

The Smoketown and Shelby Park Neighborhoods and Presbyterian Community Center are linked by a long history.

Residents of this area depend on PCC for many important services that are aimed at strengthening our families. Services such as child care, the Kids' Café, after-school activities, literacy and reading programs, parenting and adult education classes, emergency assistance, programs for the elderly and the health clinic. PCC is also engaging in new partnerships to help carry out its vision. By expanding services to provide non-skilled or low-skilled residents access to vocational education and continuing education, so they can become self-sufficient.
