Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D) 9 will lead a group of volunteers on a mission to clean up Metro Louisville.
In this case, it is a small area of Metro Louisville.
“We could use some help in our annual Frankfort Avenue Spring Clean Up,” says Ward-Pugh. “We may have had a mild winter by some measures but there may be some areas where its time to pick up trash and clean a few things.”
The Frankfort Avenue Spring Clean Up will get underway on Saturday, March 24th, 2007. The Clean Up is in preparation for the annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade on Saturday, April 7th.
Volunteers should meet at the Parking lot at Frankfort Avenue and North Keats next to the Irish Rover.
“From there, we will roll up our sleeves and get to work,” says Ward-Pugh.
The event will begin at 8:30am with coffee and breakfast. The Clean Up will get underway from 9:00am until 12:00pm.
“We would be happy for anyone to spend some time with us,” says the Councilwoman.
In the event of rain, the Clean Up will be held on Saturday March 31st, 2007.
Cleaning supplies will be donated by Brightside. Coffee provided by Heine Brothers. Breakfast will be provided by the Clifton McDonalds.
