Louisville – Councilwoman Attica Scott is inviting residents of District 1 to learn more about three very important programs in the community when the next “Ask Attica” gets underway on Tuesday, August 28th.
“It is vital that we communicate important information about what we are doing in the district,” says Scott. “I have invited representatives of LockUpLead to our meeting to speak about the progress we have made in making vacant and abandoned homes safer from lead poisoning in the district.”
The Councilwoman will also encourage residents to sign up for the city’s emergency warning notification system: CODE RED. MetroSafe staff will explain the program and answer questions on how to sign up.
There will also be a discussion of Restorative Justice Louisville which provides a holistic approach to crime that promotes justice and reparations for victims. RJL also promotes accountability and re-integration of the offender into a productive community lifestyle.
Representatives of Metro Government agencies (including LMPD, Code Enforcement, MSD, Public Health and Wellness, APCD and more) will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns residents of District 1 may have about a problem or issue.
“I want to make sure that everyone in District 1 has access to their Councilperson and it is important that we hear from the public about matters they believe are important,” says Scott.
“Ask Attica” will be held at Crums Lane Elementary 3212 Crums Lane from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. For more information, contact Councilwoman Scott’s office at 574-1101.
