The 1700 block of Bardstown Road will come alive on Saturday, September 12th when residents get together for the First Annual NeighborFest from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

“Having fun on enjoying a summer afternoon is nothing new for this area,” says Councilman Tom Owen (D-8). “Many neighborhoods are an important part of our community. This area of Bardstown Road just wants to show everyone else a fun family time on a September weekend.”

The NeighborFest is co-sponsored by the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church and the Deer Park Baptist Church. It will feature cake walks, a Corn Hole Tourney, Pony Rides, plenty of food, games for young and old, face painting and music.

“This is just one of many ways to not only have a fun time in the Highlands but it is a chance to get to know neighbors and the people who make our neighborhoods the comfortable places that they are for family and friends,” says Owen.

For more information about the First Annual NeighborFest, contact the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church at 451-8305 or the Deer Park Baptist Church at 451-7220.
