Louisville – It is a concept that is designed along the lines of one place to take care of everything. Some might call it one stop shopping only this time it is geared to help pet owners.

“Metro Animal Services has developed an easy way to take of your pet and at the same time helps the community,” says Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D) 24. “The Okolona Fire Department should be commended for this kind of partnership.”

The Okolona Fire Department #1 will partner with MAS on Thursday, November 2nd to sponsor a Rabies and License Clinic from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

“I would encourage any pet owner who needs to renew a license to come to the clinic and the S.P.O.T. unit will be on hand to show just how we are making strides in improving public safety,” says Flood.

The clinic will provide a one year rabies vaccination and one year licenses for dogs and cats that have been spayed or neutered. The cost is $15 and proof of surgery is required.

In addition to those services, pet owners will also be able to obtain a voucher to have a pet spayed or neutered. The cost, including the rabies shot and license for a year, is $43.00.

The clinic will be held at the Okolona Fire Department #1 at 8501 Preston Highway. All dogs must be restrained during their time at the clinic.
