Metro Parks Community Centers Hosting Spring Break Camps
Wednesday March 16, 2011
Parents who are looking for safe and fun activities for their children over Spring Break are encouraged to check out Metro Parks Spring Break Camps, held April 4-8 at six Metro Parks Community Centers across Louisville.
“We are hoping that parents who are making their arrangements in a few weeks keep us in mind,” said Metro Parks Director Mike Heitz. “Our staff has focused on creating enjoyable activities for kids ages 6-12 that will keep their minds and bodies active.”
Camp will last 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day, and campers will go on two field trips during the week to sites across Louisville. The camp fee is $40 at all sites, with the exception of Douglass Community Center, which is $65.
All camp fees are per child, and there is no registration fee. Those who live outside of Jefferson County and wish to sign their child up will pay additional fees. Those who are interested should call the center they’re interested in for more details.
The deadline for registrations is March 25. No early drop-offs will be allowed any day.
