Since last November, Metro Parks is ready to show its completed construction plans for the multi use path that will encircle Bowman Field. That is the reason for a public meeting on Wednesday, May 13th to show the public what the plan looks like.
“It is important residents of the area to come out and see what a finished product might look like,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9). “But it is equally as important to let Parks officials know what you think of the proposed plan.”
The public meeting will take place at Seneca Golf Course Clubhouse, 2300 Pee Wee Reese Blvd. beginning at 6:00pm.
The plan calls for continuing the path along Dutchman’s Lane, Cannons Lane, and the north end of Bowman Field connecting to Old Cannons Lane. Old Cannons Lane and Seneca Park Road complete the loop back to Pee Wee Reese Road.
“Anyone who has used this path for exercise, should come out and see how the remainder of the path will be completed,” says Ward-Pugh. “By the same token, homeowners and neighborhoods also will have a chance in an informal setting to give their thoughts.”
