What is the current progress in bringing economic development to West Louisville? What’s the latest on the loan program to help the Portland area? And what’s next for the West Market Street Corridor?
Those questions are up for discussion at the March 19th District 5 Neighborhood Advisory Meeting.
“There has been much discussion about bringing retail and commercial development back to West Market Street and West Louisville,” says Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5). “I invite the public to come out and learn what is next when it comes to revitalization of the West End.”
On hand for the meeting will be Theresa Zawacki, Food Policy and Brownfields coordinator, Ted Smith, Director of Growth and Innovation. There will also be updates on grants, small business loans, the Portland loan programs, entrepreneurial efforts, urban retail strategy, the West Market Street Corridor and plans for vacant commercial properties.
The District 5 Neighborhood Advisory Meeting will take place at Yearlings Club, 4309 West Broadway beginning at 7:00pm.
For more information about the meeting, contact Councilwoman Hamilton’s office at 574-1105.
