Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh will be a guest tonight on the Joe Elliot talk radio show to discuss the smoke-free campaign. The live call-in show will air from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on WHAS Radio, 840 AM. The call-in line during the program is 571-8484 or 1-800-444-8484.

"I've made my support for a smoke-free Louisville very clear," Councilwoman Ward-Pugh said. "Equally important is the process for discussion and debate on the issue. I trust the committee to give this ordinance a thorough review. Such an important issue deserves our full attention and deliberation."

A proposal to ban smoking in all workplaces is currently pending before the Metro Council's Public Health and Safety Committee.
