An update on Metro Louisville’s economic development efforts will be the topic of discussion for the May District 12 Dialogue hosted by Councilman Rick Blackwell on Tuesday, May 17th.
“Louisville’s economy is slowly rebounding from the recession,” says Blackwell. “This is a chance to find out what we are doing in the area of economic development to bring in new businesses and create jobs in the coming years.”
This month’s special guest is Margaret Handmaker from Metro Government’s Economic Development office. The dialogue will be held at Conway Middle School, 6300 Terry Road, beginning at 7:00pm.
“This will be an opportunity to hear updates and ask questions about our economic future, particularly that of the Dixie Highway Corridor,” says Blackwell.
Joining Handmaker will be representatives of other Metro Government agencies including MSD, Code Enforcement and LMPD. A representative of Congressman John Yarmuth’s office will also be on hand.
